Here at Venn Farm we were wondering if the ponies were ever going to go to a show in 2020. This post goes to show that they did and to the wonderfully run Oakland’s Show they travelled.
First up was our 2021 ridden prospect Clonageera Just In Time. Pickle as he’s known at home was away from said home for the first time and although a little unsettled in the Youngstock class, picking up a third, he went on to relax and enjoy himself to win the Part Bred Arabs. Pickle has that typical wonderful Cusop Dimension temperament, and was super laid back for the rest of the day.
Next up was Hilin Hynod, who picked up two wins, including First Ridden and then went on to take Reserve Reserve Ridden Champion. This is his young jockey’s first year off the lead and he did a wonderful job looking after her.
As well as being fed TopSpec Horse Feeds and groomed with Supreme Products, the ponies are fed our own Venn Farm small bale hay to keep their constitution tip top.
